It is with great pleasure that I announce the twelfth edition of the Scientific and Technical Days (JST 12) of SONATRACH, which will take place from June 24 to 26, 2025.
Under the theme :
« The Energy of Technological Innovation »
This edition is positioned as an outstanding gathering dedicated to exploring strategic issues and fostering collective reflection on the energy challenges and innovative solutions that will shape the future of our sector in the region.
The JST 12 provide us with the opportunity to combine expertise, knowledge, and know-how to explore three strategic themes for our industry:
- Exploration and Production (Oïl & Gas), integrating technological advancements in oil and gas exploration and enhancing recovery in different types of reservoirs.
- Environment and Sustainable Development, essential pillars of the global energy transition.
- Digital Transformation, a key driver to enhance performance and promote innovation.

Tribute to Abdelhak BOUHAFS
Honoring a legacy of excellence, dedication, and inspiration.
On October 29, 2019, we lost the late Abdelhak BOUHAFS, former Chairman and CEO of SONATRACH, who led the company from 1989 to 1995 and again from 2000 to 2001.His visionary leadership profoundly impacted SONATRACH, notably through the launch of the PROMOS project, which modernized our management processes. The late Abdelhak BOUHAFS also initiated the Scientific and Technical Days (JST) in 1994, creating an international platform for exchanges between professionals and researchers, fostering the sharing of essential knowledge related to our activities.

The conference will take place over 3 days, from June 24 to June 26, 2025.
The venue for the JST12 event is the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Conference Center (CCO) in Oran, Algeria.
